'Old Fashioned Pants' Potholder
These cute pants will look nice in any kitchen, and are easy to make.
materials: crochet hook size 5.00mm/H8
worsted yarn, colors main color MC and contrasting color CC
small amount of ribbon, yarn needle for sewing
finished size is about 7"
make 2 pieces:
with MC
ch 24
row 1: hdc in 2nd ch from hook and across, ch 2 turn
row 2: hdc across, ch 2 turn
rows 3-10: repeat row 2
finish off, join CC with sl st where you finished off
ch2, working along end of rows now, 2 hdc in each st across
finish off and join CC at the opposite end, work the same along those end of rows now
fold piece is half, lengthwise
with MC and yarn needle, sew the seam closed, this will be the inside of the pant leg
do this for both pieces
line these inside seams to face each other, sew them together, about 13 stitches down, this will be the hips and thigh part of the pants
leave the rest of the legs unsewn
weave ribbon through the top part of the pants, tighten a bit to form a waist, tie into a bow in front.
then thread ribbon thru each pant leg, and tie into a bow in front too
attach a small amount of yarn to the back of the pant waist and form a loop for a hanger
