Elegant Crocheted Headbands
materials needed for all headbands:
crochet hook size 5.00, worsted yarn

These headbands are inspired by heroines from my favorite books.
They are easy to work up and make a nice accessory.

'Emma'
row 1: ch 46, dc in 3rd ch from hk, ch1,
*sk next st, dc in next st, ch1* repeat ** across
ending with dc in last st, ch 3 turn (22dc and ch 1 sps)
row 2: *dc in next ch 1 sp, ch 1* across, ending with dc in last st, ch 3 turn
row 3: repeat row 2, but at end of row do not ch 3 turn
instead, ch 40 for tie string, sc across, sl st to join. finish off
join yarn at opposite end and ch 40 for tie string, sc across, sl st to join.
finish off and weave in any ends.



'Scarlett'
row 1: ch 46, dc in 3rd ch frm hk and across, ch 3 turn (44dc)
rnd 1: sc in next st, *ch3, sc* in each st across
ch 40 for tie string, sc across
sl st to join
work on opposite side of headband now, repeat ** in each st across
ending with sc in last st, sl st to join, ch 40 for tie string, sc across
sl st to join
finish off and weave in any ends.



'Elizabeth'
row 1: ch 46, dc in 3rd ch frm hk, sk a st, sc in next st, sk a st
*3dc in next st, sk a st, sc in next st, sk a st* (cluster made) across
end with 3 sc in last st (10 clusters)
ch 40 for tie string, sc across
sl st to join
work on opposite side of headband now
row 2: *3dc in next st, sk a st, sc in next st*
end with 3dc in last st
sl st once and ch 40 for tie string, sc across
sl st to join, finish off and weave in any ends.
