materials needed:
crochet hook size 6.00, stitch marker, small amount of cotton yarn or worsted, whichever you prefer
hat is worked using 2 strands of yarn held together
do not join rounds, use stitch marker and move after each round is complete
rnd 1: ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch frm hk, place marker (6sc)
rnd 2: *2sc* (12sc)
rnd 3: *sc, 2sc* (18sc)
rnds 4-5: *sc*
rnd 6: for earholes:
ch 8, sk 2sts, sc in next 6sts, ch8, sk 2sts, sc in remaining sts
(14sc and 2 ch8 sps)
rnd 7: in ch8 sp work *4sc, ch 30 (for tie string), sl st across tie string, 4sc in same ch8 sp*
sc to next ch 8 sp repeat ** and sc in remaining sts (14sc)
finish off and weave in ends
